Resources for Homeschooling Through High School... and Beyond!
Hi! I'm Janice Campbell, and I'm glad you stopped by to visit!
Feel free to browse through the pages of the site, and to e-mail me if you have any questions about what you find. As you browse, you'll see that words that show up in color are live links-- click, and they will open in a new window. If you e-mail me with a question and don't receive an answer in about 48 hours, please check your 'junk' folder. I often find things there that shouldn't be!
This site is focused on home- and family-centered living with a special emphasis on writing, literature, and homeschooling through high school and beyond, with topics including non-traditional college and home business.
My goal is to provide articles, links, and resources that will help you make time for things that matter to you. I want to help streamline life's necessities so you'll have more time to spend on the important things-- things that last.
Be sure to sign up for the free e-newsletter in the box to your left-- it will help you home school through high school... and beyond.

Homeschool Transcript, Diploma, & Records
If you plan to homeschool through high school, the new third edition of my book, Transcripts Made Easy, will help you streamline high school paperwork and make it easy to create great-looking, effective transcripts and diplomas.
It offers easy-to-follow instructions and free e-mail support, so that you will have more time to spend enjoying life and building relationships with your family as you home school high school. It also contains a thoughtful answer to the frequently-asked question: "Does my student need an accredited diploma?" If paperwork is not your favorite hobby, you need this book! If you are thinking about doing college non-traditionally (early college, accelerated college, distance learning, or late college), the Doing College Your Way page offers information on on distance learning and college-level exams to get you started.
And now, Get a Jump Start on College! A Practical Guide for Teens will help your teen earn college credit in high school. It's available as an instantly downloadable e-book. It is also available as a print book if you prefer. If you'd like to help your teen get a jump start on life, this is a book you need. CLICK HERE to get it now!
College-Prep High School Literature
Looking ahead, I'm excited to announce that the online English classes I've taught for the past few years will be available soon as self-guided courses! I've never been able to take all the students who wanted to take the classes, so I have been transforming them into courses that can be used independently. There is a lot of layout and link-checking to be done, but they'll be out as soon as possible.
Click HERE if you'd like to read more about Zeitgeist Literature: Self-Directed, College-Prepartory, Literature-Based English for Homeschoolers. I'll let you know via the e-newsletter as soon as each level is available!
Grammar for Homeschoolers
For several years, I have been recommending Connie Schenkelberg's Writing a Step Above grammar program. I bought it years ago, and used it with my boys, and found it simple, intuitive, and streamlined. What's not to like about that?
People to whom I recommended it weren't so happy, though, because it was very hard to find. Finally, I tracked down Connie-- she was busy teaching and writing in northern Virginia, and she has agreed to let the Made Easy Books division of Everyday Education publish Writing a Step Above as Grammar Made Easy: Writing a Step Above! We have redesigned the cover, and it's now available as a print book, as well as an e-book. I think you'll love it! CLICK HERE to read more!
SAT Prep Workshop
Students who are planning to take the SAT or ACT may want to attend a Beat-the-Clock Essay Workshop? which will help them prepare for timed essays such as those they will encounter on the SAT, the ACT, and CLEP exams.
If you'd like to schedule an essay workshop, there are complete instructions on the How to Host page of this site. It's easy, and if you host, you attend free!
I offer SAT/ACT essay tips, as well as links to related articles, on the Beat-the-Clock pages and in the e-zine, so be sure to sign up for the e-zine and visit often!
Midlothian, VA workshop scheduled for 9/7/07- CLICK HERE for more information!
Be sure to sign up for the free e-zine—I like to share new resources, tips, and links as I find them. I promise I will never, ever share your e-mail information with others. If you do sign up, please check your inbox for a confirmation e-mail. This will help you to make sure you actually receive the newsletter. If you don't see it in your inbox, check your 'junk' folder, as it may have mistakenly been routed there (I check mine daily, as things often mistakenly end up there). If you add my e-mail to your address book, you won't have any difficulty with that.
I hope you enjoy browsing the website. You may also enjoy my blog at www.Janice-Campbell.com. It's where I post new articles, reviews, classic poetry, news, and inspiration. Thank you for visiting!
